The project 'Daddy Cool' addresses questions about how the subjective image of a loved one can be re-evaluated when encountering other people's experiences of the same person. In this case, the photographer's father, who passed away in 2015.

In a playful study of identity and representation, Magntorn creates and tests different personas for his father. He finds snapshots of his father posing as an actor in front of the camera. He photographs and examines his father's personal belongings. And as the work progresses and the book takes shape, the line between fiction and reality inevitably begins to blur.
