Series of digital photographs, dimensions variable, 2016-2018.

The series consists of 80 images – referencing the number of slides typically contained in the tray of a carousel slide projector – which were originally presented as a slide show in continuous random succession.

My intention was to create images that involved not only sight but also the other senses – evoking the thingness of nature as well as its ephemerality. The resulting photographs may appear like shadows or traces, blurring the boundaries between separate phenomena, pointing to an underlying oneness.

The series was first presented on a digital frame at Galleri S:t Gertrud in Malmö, Sweden (2016) and later as a large-scale projection at Galleria Civica in Trento, Italy (2018).
