Beskrivning

The exhibition is dedicated to the war and the life of refugees. Reflections on the peace, hope for oneself to overcome difficulties.

1.The face of war. In any war for a “bright future”, the first victim is that very “future” - innocent children.

2. Propaganda. In the fire of war, logs are propaganda. Their smoke is a convenient truth. It overshadows a reasonable view of what is happening.

3. Refugees. Refugees are wanderers going nowhere. Their whole life is packed into one backpack. But remaining unbroken, they take their “backpack” and continue their “journey.”

4. I took with me. When forced to flee, with the understanding that there will be nowhere to return, everyone takes with them the most valuable things. Something you can’t live without, something with which you have an unbreakable connection. Even running away did not make this girl give up her music.

5. Childhood dreams. Even the war did not teach Ukrainian children to dream! In basements and bathrooms, playing hide and seek with death, they dream about the sea, miracle, happiness, a bright future.

6. Close distant people. Fleeing from war scattered people around the world. Never before have those closest to each other been so far away.

7. Plans and reality. Just yesterday, the dreams and plans of today's refugees, like fish, splashed in the endless ocean of possibilities. Dreaming today, the same fish are limited to the shore of a dry puddle.

8. In heart. The need to leave our home did not make us completely forget about it. Everyone keeps a piece of him in their heart.

9. Sky of Austerlitz. Lev Tolstoy. "War and Peace". Through the lips of his character, more than 150 years ago, the Russian classic admired the serenity of the sky above Austerlitz, while at the same time lamenting the nature of human ambition, which pitted two peoples in a senseless war. Today, a people who have forgotten their heritage are dooming themselves to repeat a terrible tragedy.

10. Hope. Despite all the horrors of war, it is important to remember that in each of us there glimmers a tiny flame of hope, in the light of which a truth familiar from childhood takes on a new meaning: “«Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light». (Albus Dumbledore, J. K. Rowling)

11. Peace. Our actions today are the foundation for the future of our children. The burden of consequences from the decisions we have made today will fall on the shoulders of the next generation.

12. Portrait series "at home" (6 photos). The family that sheltered us, in whose house these photos were taken, helped us realize that “home” is not walls and a roof over our heads. 11 months spent together showed that “home” is a place where your loved ones are, where there is coziness and comfort. This is a place where you are accepted, loved and expected.
