Color Space Series

Beskrivning

In the Color Space series I am pushing the limits of color space in image production. I animate rotating spheres, and bring them into our physical realm through my method In-Contact Copying, where I create digital C-prints by laying light sensitive paper in physical contact with a screen in the darkroom. The work is presented as installations with looped animation as projections in relation to the prints and spheric sculptures that are emerging from the surface of the paper.

I play with the idea of multiverses and different universal scales using the language of photography. Sequences of movement back and forth over a digital/analog threshold. The spheres can represent both exoplanets, nano-particles or sub pixels if you will. I am drawn to the philosophical qualities of quantum physics and how that connects to transcendence and subjectivity.
