Klára Tasovská is the director of the film ”I’m Not Everything I Want to Be”, which premieres during the documentary film festival Tempo. Her film depicts the life of Libuše Jarcovjáková and is based entirely on Libuše’s photographs and diaries. Here, Tasovská meets the Swedish director Maud Nycander in a conversation about using still photography versus moving images in film, and what it’s like to tell a story from someone else’s written words.

Maud Nycander has for many years been active in the world of film and has portrayed photographer Inta Ruka’s life in two films. Now Nycander is up to date with the documentary film ”Nun – 25 years in a convent”, which premieres on the big screen this fall.

Moderator: Casia Bromberg, CFF
The conversation is held in English. No pre-registration, limited number of places.

The program item is a collaboration with the Czech Center Stockholm with the support of the Czech Embassy in Stockholm and Tempo Documentary Film Festival.
