Martin Kull

Biografi

Martin Kull (b. 1959) is a Swedish freelance photographer with a keen interest in image story telling and art. His personal projects are now focused on environmental issues and climate change.
Photos contain a story built by their inner and outer context. In Martins work, be it documentary or artistic, he strives to build strong stories in the eye of the beholder. As a freelance photographer his commissioned assignments are in events, portraiture, and adventure photography.
Martin has been a diligent photography student at Swedish and Finnish universities and frequent participant at workshops. In 2022 he concludes an MA in Art Photography. In his master project Martin visualizes the effects of climate change with experimental photographic methods.
In the BA thesis “When we are gone” Martin explored mans' traces in nature and the effect of time and indirectly also the essence of the photographic image. The project resulted in a book "Haiku in the Anthropocene" published with poet Anna Gerge in 2022
In the photobook “Unique stores”, published in 2017, Stockholm’s enthusiast shopkeepers are portrayed in their stores. Martin has held two solo exhibitions and participated in several curated group exhibitions
