Jessica Franzén (1977)

Through my practice, I primarily work with artistic photography. I have shown my work in both group exhibitions and solo exhibitions and as photographic zines.
In my photographic-artistic work, I am interested in the concept of creating noise and friction during the translation and transcoding of visual information across different formats. My artistic interests extend beyond traditional camera-based photography - non-camera-based techniques and post-photography within an expanded definition. Through my work, I aim to invite audiences to question their perception of visual information and to explore the inherent complexities of its translation.
