Åsa Andersson
Biografi
Åsa Andersson is based in Stockholm and works across images, site-related installations and prose-poetic text projects. She has an MA in Fine Art and a PhD in Fine art and Philosophy: Intimations of Intimacy; Phenomenological Encounters Between Contemporary Art & Philosophy, both from Staffordshire University, 1999. Relating to this are interests in expanded photographic practices, printed matter and artist’s books, fragile constructions and modernist architecture. Her publication, Ömtåliga konstruktioner, tio häften (2019) received support from Stiftelsen Längmanska kulturfonden and Kulturrådet, and includes in total 376 pages of text and images. Other areas of practice include Chado, the Japanese Urasenke School Way of Tea.
