In this ongoing project, Simon Johannesson photographs the interiors and exteriors, as well as collect menus from pizzerias in Gothenburg. The focus of the work is on the restaurants that serve Swedish pizza, and the aim is to document the city’s pizzeria landscape.

The project is an observation of similarities and differences, between restaurants but also between the cultural inspirations for the interior, exterior and graphic designs. Johannesson is interested in the unique and diverse aesthetics that comes out of the cultural melting pot that is the Swedish pizzeria.
