Opening: Heat Exchange

Photography as container, method as revelation Heat Exchange is a conversation about photography and what it holds. Drawn together by a shared curiosity about the role of the image in contemporary life – time, politics, labour and play – the works reach beyond the visible, towards what a photograph carries.

First-year students in the Master’s programme at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts each exhibit one work, together. The works include painting, photography, sculpture, installation and video.
