Ulf Lundin placed the camera on a tripod approximately 3 m in front of those portrayed, and the sequences where there is intense contact between the filmed and the camera were selected for the work.

“We often hear photographers use words such as meeting, identification or intimacy. These are, of course, relevant concepts, but the fact remains that we as photographers take the right to decide on the image of another person that will be spread across the world. In this project, I have tried to clarify and highlight that position of power through a rather aggressive act against waiting people who are in a position somewhere between private and public. The photographic image has become even more central in our society than when this was recorded, and I think that Station still says something valid about how we relate to a camera and about the relationship between viewer and viewed.” – Ulf Lundin
