Artist Freddy Houndekindo and dancer/choreographer Girish Kumar Rachappa meet in a performance in the gallery space, followed by a conversation about where these forces meet- dance and art- and what they reveal about male culture, the body, and movement.

About the artists:
Freddy Houndekindo is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of dance, performance text, and installation. His work reflects on subjects such as identity, Blackness, and masculinity. Through the study and practice of various combat sports, Freddy engages in an in-depth inquiry into male culture, violence, and intimacy. Houndekindo is a recent graduate of the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and previously danced with Cullberg (2018–2024).
Girish Kumar Rachappa is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer originally from India. As a freelance artist, he has collaborated with many renowned choreographers while also creating his own distinct works. From 2022 to 2024, Girish was a part of the Tanz_Kassel ensemble, and in 2024, he joined the Cullberg dance company.
