Release for the Periphery’23 fanzine project in Stockholm
In the spring of 2023, the fanzine project (Periphery) was carried out in northern Sweden with participants from Västernorrland, Västerbotten, and Norrbotten. During the release in Stockholm, three of the project’s participants will talk about their fanzines: Margareta Klingberg about “Sven Edin’s Road”, Hilda Flygare about “Kiruna Dies”, and Hilda Lindström about “EXT. OVERHEAD VIEW CITY – NIGHT”. All fanzines included in the project will be available to buy and browse during the evening.
The fanzine project is an initiative by the Center for Photography to support and showcase the breadth of photographic activity around the country. (Periphery) ’23, run by the Center for Photography, is a continuation of the project initially carried out in Västra Götaland in the autumn of 2021 and Skåne in the autumn of 2022. During the spring of 2023, the 14 participating photographers have worked from their material and compiled the work in their own fanzine. The photographers have worked on the layout of their zines under the guidance of the design agency Lundgren+Lindqvist.
