From idea to finished book: Anette Nilsson – Close to my father
What is the process of making a book? During the autumn, Landskrona Library is arranging a series of lectures where three photobook authors present their books under the title “From idea to finished book.”
Anette Nilsson has worked as a photographer since the late 80s, first as a press photographer, then in the media and advertising industry. Now she combines her own projects and freelance assignments with a position as photographer and picture editor at Märta Måås-Fjetterström in Båstad. Over the years, Anette has contributed to various books, including the art book “look at the carpets – it’s me”.
Through the camera lens and during an endless number of hours, Anette has followed her 88-year-old father Kai in his cultivation. At first, she was hesitant. How will she find something new here with her father in his garden plot? A shed, a greenhouse and lots of soil. As time goes by, her gaze changes and new insights slowly emerge. The book project entitled “Close to my father” is in full swing and as we write (May 22), the day for the book to go to print is getting closer.
September 12, 18:00: Hans Jonsson – “Sami – not an isolated island”.
October 10, 18:00: Jonas Dahlström – “07:27:47”.
