Description

The vicissitudes of signs is a video composed of an ongoing series of dynamic collages. The collages are shaped by a process of intuitive collecting and juxtaposition, where found images from different visual and ideological worlds are brought into shifting relation. Rather than illustrating a fixed concept, each collage acts as a site of negotiation, where meaning is neither fixed nor lost, but suspended in the tension between cultural and biological logics.

The images come from diverse sources: illustrated books on the planet Earth, manuals on evolution and gardening, industrial magazines, and postcards. Chosen not only for their visual qualities, but because they carry embedded narratives about knowledge, nature, and progress, these materials are reframed and reconfigured through new proximities, opening space for alignments to emerge between elements never meant to coexist.
