Workshop
Portrait Photography Workshop with Åsa Johannesson
Are you interested in portrait photography and how you can develop your way of working? Then you can take part in Åsa Johannesson’s portrait photography workshop.
The workshop is both theoretical and practical and aims to broaden the idea of the portrait as a genre and to explore how the interaction between photographer and model can be.
As a participant, you will present your photographic work during the workshop, take part in a lecture by Åsa Johannesson, and photograph outdoors with natural light. Parts of the workshop are at the Center for Photography, and the photography takes place in connection to the premises but outdoors in daylight with aids. Together you act as both photographer and model.
The requirement to participate is that you are a member of CFF and have access to your own digital camera. You will present how you have worked with photography before, so please bring physical pictures or a computer to the workshop.
Åsa Johannesson is currently showing her exhibition The Queering of Photography at the Center for Photography. Åsa Johannesson has studied photography at the Royal College of Art and the University of Westminster in London, UK. With her artistry, she explores the relationship between queer identity, representation, and photographic materiality, through photography, installations, and poetry.
