Reviewers are Marika Reuterswärd and Amanda Nordgren from Kristianstad Art Gallery, Pauline Koffi Vandet from the Photographic Center in Copenhagen, Christel Lundberg from Tjörnedala Art Gallery, and photographers Maja Daniels and Mårten Lange.

During the portfolio review, you will meet two reviewers. In your application, please indicate which two you would most like to meet. Each conversation is 20 minutes long, and you choose what and how many images you want to show, as well as whether you want feedback or advice on something specific.

In the evening, there will be two open presentations by photographers Maja Daniels and Mårten Lange, who are currently featured in connection with the book Peripheral Vision: Images from the Fringe of Europe, published in 2023 by CFF.

Amanda Nordgren has a preparatory art education in art and design from Newcastle College and a bachelor’s degree in visual communication from Edinburgh College of Art, specializing in photography. She has worked at Malmö Konsthall since 2011 and now works for Kristianstad Art Gallery. Amanda has also been a board member of the Format photo gallery in Malmö. Marika Reuterswärd is an art historian, curator, and lecturer. Since 2014, she has been the director of Kristianstad Art Gallery, Sweden, which annually presents a number of exhibitions of international and Swedish contemporary art. Previous positions and assignments include: curator at Malmö Art Museum (1999-2014), chairman of Skånes Konstförening (2007-2008), curator and co-founder of the Ocean art project in Malmö (1997-1999), and curator for Konstförening Aura in Lund (1995-1996). She has served on numerous juries and written numerous articles in various art books and artists’ catalogs. Reuterswärd lives and works in Malmö / Kristianstad in southern Sweden.

Mårten Lange (b. 1984, Gothenburg) is a photographer and artist. His work revolves around subjects such as architecture, spatiality, and how history and ideologies are reflected in the urban space. Lange works primarily with the photobook as a means of expression and has published several titles, including Threshold (2023), Vantage Point (2022), and Ghost Witness (2020).

Maja Daniels is a photographic artist and filmmaker. Using sociological methodology, sound, moving images, and archival material, she explores alternative histories and counter-hegemonic narratives. Her work has been exhibited and published worldwide, she has received several awards and scholarships, and she works as an adjunct professor in film at HDK-Valand.

Pauline Koffi Vandet (b. 1994, DK/CI, she/her) holds a Master’s degree in visual culture with a specialization in photography. As interim director of the Fotografisk Center art gallery, she uses her expertise in art photography, curation, and exhibition production to create exhibitions with both national and international artists. With a critical, dialogical, and experimental approach to art and curation, Koffi Vandet wants to showcase, investigate, and reflect on both art and the role of art institutions today.

Christel Lundberg is the operations manager at Tjörnedala Art Gallery, Baskemölla, focusing on the exhibition program for the art gallery, works as a curator for international exchanges such as BRIDGE between ArtCan in London and Östra Skånes Konstnärsgrupp, and is a curator for Konstkiosk, where art is related to architecture and research, and during 2023-24 a part of the COALA research project in Kalmar, concerning the problem of sea level rise and coastal erosion, where artistic methods act as a link between researchers and citizens.
