Curators tour of the exhibition Vera was Here at Accelerator

Welcome to a curator tour of the show Vera was Here at Accelerator.

Curator Therese Kellner presents the group exhibition with works by Nora Al-Badri, Diana Agunbiade-Kolawole, Nicole Khadivi, Bitsy Knox and Dala Nasser.

The exhibition focuses on the relationship between lens-based media, perception, memory and historiography. The artists work in various ways with indexicality, image transfer processes and memory practices beyond the camera.

In widely different abstract designs, collective myth-making, speculative archaeology, grief processes, time and energy fields are explored. The works have been created through processes characterized by performativity, embodied knowledge and close contact with the material it uses.

The viewing is free of charge and takes about 40 minutes. After the viewing, we will gather in the cafe to share thoughts and impressions.
