You are welcome to register for one, or both, of the activities. Bonniers Konsthall is open until 8 PM, so there is also the opportunity to meet for a glass in the café!

5 PM Viewing of the exhibition Playa! Art as poetry in the Nordic countries where rhythm, hand, thought, association, word and poetry tie together Bonniers Konsthall’s major autumn exhibition. Through painting, sculpture, installation and social situations, Playa! presents a large number of artists from different generations, based in Sweden and the Nordic countries.

6 PM Lecture with Sophie Ristelhueber in which she presents her artistry.

“For 45 years, the French artist Sophie Ristelhueber has created a consistent and unique artistic practice in which she explores landscapes and territories, both public and private. Through her series from war-torn areas, she has challenged journalistic photography and developed her own visual language. The traces of violence – on the ground, in the human body and architecture – are central to her powerful and carefully composed images.” – from the Hasselblad Foundation’s motivation

Sophie Ristelhueber was born in 1949 in Paris, where she also lives and works. Ristelhueber’s works have been shown at a number of international institutions, including MoMA, New York; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo; The Power Plant, Toronto; Tate Modern, London; Centre Pompidou, Paris.
