Katrin Bauer is the curator for the project Astrophysics and Art, a cross-disciplinary project between the Academy of Fine Arts, the Technical University, and Haus der Kunst in Munich, and Marit Lena Herrmann is a curator at Foto Arsenal Wien. In 20 minutes, you present your project and receive feedback on your work.

Katrin Bauer is a curator and writer based in Munich. Her research is driven by an interest in the politics of representation in photography and decolonial strategies in contemporary art production.
She currently works as curator for Astrophysics and Art, an interdisciplinary project developed in collaboration with the Akademie der Bildenden Künste München, the Technical University of Munich, and Haus der Kunst Munich.
Previously, among other roles, she has been project manager and curator for the documentary photography festival FOTODOKS in Munich, and her texts have been published in the journal Camera Austria and in exhibition catalogues from institutions such as Fotomuseum Winterthur, C/O Berlin, Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Haus der Kunst Munich, and Museum Folkwang in Essen.
Marit Lena Herrmann is an art historian, researcher, and curator at FOTO ARSENAL WIEN, with a particular focus on queer and feminist visual practices. They studied art and visual culture in Berlin and Vienna. They have worked on exhibition and publication projects with institutions such as Reinbeckhallen Stiftung – Collection for Contemporary Art in Berlin, Ostkreuz Agency, and the renowned publisher Spector Books in Leipzig.
Most recently, they curated the main exhibition Ein Dorf for the Akademie der Künste (AdK) as part of EMOP 2025, as well as two exhibitions at Foto Arsenal Wien: DAIDO MORIYAMA. A Retrospective and Across the Water, both opened in January 2026.
