Julia Lindemalm joins Centrum för fotografi as Project Manager in Skåne

Julia is a trained photojournalist and works as a freelance photographer, artist, and writer. Since 2008, when she did an internship at Sydsvenskan, she has lived in Malmö.

What do you think will be the most exciting part of working with CFF?

– I look forward to creating opportunities for photographers in Skåne to meet and develop both the professional and creative aspects of their working lives—giving them the chance to show their images to an audience, try things they might not otherwise have the opportunity to do, and contribute to a sense of community among the region’s freelancers.

What do you do when you are not working at CFF?

– I am constantly fascinated by our relationship with animals and have explored it in projects of varying length, which have become both exhibitions and books. At the moment, I have a freelance office in Copenhagen that I share with Danish photographers, and I hope that through this I can contribute to greater exchange across the bridge.
