Six curators, photographers, and gallery owners will be present to discuss your work with you. During the portfolio review, you will meet two of them, and in your application, you specify which two you would most like to meet. Each conversation lasts 20 minutes, and you choose what and how many images you want to show, and whether you want feedback or advice on something specific. Come prepared with a computer or printed material so you can quickly get into the conversation.

Mia Bengtsson Plynning works as a national coordinator at Centrum för Fotografi. In her role, she works to promote Centrum för fotografi’s work throughout the country and connects local photographic networks with photographers and events nationally. Alongside her position, she also works as a picture editor and partner in Link Image AB, where she lectures, sells photography to art buyers, arranges viewings, curates exhibitions and helps established photographers to promote their work. In addition to this, Mia Bengtsson Plynning is one of five members of the Tuija Lindström Association, which manages the artistry after photography professor Tuija Lindström.

Johanna Haverlind is Head of Exhibitions/Deputy Museum Director at Arbetets museum in Norrköping. She is a trained exhibition producer and project manager who has been working as Head of Exhibitions at Arbetets museum for the past 11 years. She has extensive experience in meeting photographers and discussing important topics, storytelling/narratives, target groups, spatiality and exhibition production. She is also the chair of the jury for Arbetets museum’s Documentary Photography Prize and Dokfotosalong.

Eric Magassa is an artist who works cross-artistic with painting, photography, video and collage through which he explores issues of identity, liminality and its connection to memories and places. Previous exhibitions include Malmö Konsthall (2023), Gothenburg Art Museum (2022), Marres House for Contemporary Culture, Maastricht, the Netherlands (2021), Gothenburg International Biennial for Contemporary Art GIBCA (2019), Valongo Festival, Santos, Brazil (2019).

Alexander Mahmoud is a photographer at Dagens Nyheter. He began his professional life at Smålandsposten’s youth editorial office during high school, and has since worked primarily with press photography. He was awarded Revelation of the Year, the Stora Journalistpriset 2021, and the 2023 Documentary Photography Prize by Arbetets museum.

Helena Scragg has been an exhibition curator at Norrköping Art Museum since 2007, but also works as a curator, project manager and writer. She has curated and produced temporary exhibitions, seminars and mediating content. The temporary exhibitions relate to the museum’s collection with an emphasis on Swedish 20th century art. The international outlooks, which often involve Nordic artists, are another important track. Curatorially, she is drawn to artistic practices that address current issues concerning society and politics.

Jeanette Steinsland is the founder and operations manager at Gallery Steinsland Berliner. She has curated and arranged various exhibitions at art galleries and institutions both in and outside Sweden, and has worked as an art editor. Jeanette Steinsland is educated at Central Saint Martins in London.
