Program
The artist Anna Henriksson shares her project Agnes’ Collection, a photographic series created in dialogue with glass negatives from her father’s grandmother Agnes, taken over a hundred years ago. The work explores the role of the amateur photographer, women’s history, and the magic of the photographic craft.
The Stockholm County Museum and Stockholm Women’s History will talk about the initiative Shelf Space for Women, which aims to make women’s history visible in Stockholm County and increase their representation in our archives.

Anna Henriksson (b. 1976) is a visual artist, photographer, and writer. She lives and works in Stockholm. Henriksson was educated at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts (2000–2005) and the Royal Institute of Art (2015–2016). Her artistic works in recent years have focused on close studies of various collections, often of a private nature, and their parallel stories and phenomena. Henriksson has participated in several exhibitions in Sweden.
The project Shelf Space for Women aims to even out the gender equality gap in the archives and make women’s history visible in Stockholm County. By allocating space on the shelves in the county museum’s archives annually, a platform is created to highlight something or someone that is important to women’s history, but that may not usually end up in our archives. The project is a collaboration between the Stockholm County Museum and Stockholm Women’s History. The initiative is also part of Arkivism – Stockholm Women’s History’s major initiative to find, highlight, and preserve women’s stories.
