At Home With – a pilot project in Västra Götaland

In a pilot project, Centrum för fotografi aims to create a meeting place for our members in Västra Götaland.

For this project, we are looking for individuals willing to open their workplace/studio for a visit from a small group of members, as well as those interested in meeting other members. Through these meetings, we aim to embrace the creative process and the physical environment in which it takes place. Each personal visit will be designed based on the host’s wishes in consultation with Centrum för fotografi. The purpose is to network, meet new artist colleagues, gain insight into each other’s work and daily lives, and, most importantly, highlight the photographers in the region.

As a host, you choose what you want to share and what you want to gain from the visit. Would you like to showcase an ongoing project, receive feedback, or do you have a theme you would like to highlight and discuss, or find new collaboration partners?

Centrum för fotografi provides refreshments and conducts a short interview with the host photographer, which is then shared on our social media channels.

For residences/studios outside Gothenburg, Centrum för fotografi supports travel expenses for both visitors and hosts. If you do not have a studio/workplace but would still like to host and showcase your work, Centrum för fotografi can assist with a temporary location. The project plans to start in the spring of 2024 with three meetings; participants are not required to attend every meeting. The visits will be approximately two hours each.
